Rixa Promotions proudly represents the new generation of promoters in Canada. Our team of seasoned business men who has a deep passion for boxing created Rixa Promotions in order to offer young prospects from Quebec a unique opportunity to make a career in boxing. The mission of the company is to develop young boxers and help them reach their full potential in a fair and positive environment.
Eric Kerub – President
Eric Kerub already owns and manages multiple businesses located in Quebec. His latest addition is Rixa Promotions. First of all, Eric has a deep passion for boxing and a lot of respect for the sport. Being close from Otis and Howard Grant, Eric wanted to help them develop their stable of young fighters because it was very difficult to keep them active against good opponents. Rixa Promotions is the missing piece in order to develop Quebec talent and help build the next World Champion.
With his investment, Rixa Promotions is now able to create spectacular shows and give the fans excitement and a chance to see the stars of tomorrow.
Otis Grant – Special Adviser and Management
Otis Grant has one of the most impressive resumes off all time among Canadian fighters. Otis made his name in the industry by becoming the WBO 160 pounds world champion. He knows every aspect of the sport and guides young prospects through the steps required to reach the top of the sport. Otis acts as an adviser and manager for the company and our athletes.
Furthermore, he is respected within the community because of his involvement with the ‘Otis Grant & Friends’ foundation, as well as his accessibility. He is a perfect role model for young up-and-coming boxers and Rixa Promotions is proud to have him on the team.
Howard Grant – Trainer
Howard is the chief trainer of Erik Bazinyan, Francis Lafrenière, Golden Garcia, Dwayne Durel and also Lucian Bute. He is also taking care of the matchmaking for the shows and makes sure the opponents are adequate for the development of the fighters.
Howard was a world class boxer himself and knows how to develop talented athletes. His work with Georges St-Pierre, Patrick Côté, Librado Andrade and Adonis Stevenson are other examples of his versatility and recognition in the boxing industry.
Maxime D. Fortin – Operations Manager
Marketing and business development manager, Maxime is a graduate from Bishop’s University in Sports Studies and Business. He has been following boxing closely for many years now and wants to help bring Rixa Promotions to the next level.
“My goal is to bring a different perspective in the way we sell the sport of boxing. In the next few years, the face of the sport will change in Quebec with all the top boxers getting closer to retirement. At Rixa Promotions, we want every show to be unique and find a way to bring back the younger audience to the sport. We want our athletes to be accessible for the fans and make the fights the public wants to see. Rixa Promotions is always open to discuss and develop new promotional ideas.”
